Spring Heights’ Summer Camp Staff comes from a variety of locations around the state and around the world. Many of our staff are college students from West Virginia United Methodist Churches. Several International Staff will be joining us through the Camp America program. In past years, counselors have come to Spring Heights from England, Scotland, Sierra Leone, Poland, Czech Republic, Australia, and several other countries.
All staff are trained in camp programs, child development, first aid, faith development, and other important areas. To apply, you must be 16 years old or older, a member of a Christian church, growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ, love children and youth, able to communicate well, flexible, willing to do whatever benefits Spring Heights Camp and Retreat Center and its summer program, and be available from mid-May through the beginning of August. No particular experience is necessary, but all experiences are welcome. We are looking for Cabin Counselors, Lifeguards, Ropes Course Staff, Barn Staff, Health Service Providers and more.
If you are in need of an internship for your career path, Spring Heights will work with you to create a job description that will fulfill a needed internship. You get the college credit, and you get paid! Sounds like a win-win to us!
You may apply for many summer staff positions, and you only have to do this on one application. Once you’ve submitted your application, your references will be reviewed. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted using the email address you provide on the application. Please check your emails every day!
